\n| Dear Jere,<\/p>\n My life entered a new plane of joy yesterday.\u00a0\u00a0Jim Gilley\u2019s first-service sermon so ably introduced theme of \u201cRejoice.\u201d\u00a0\u00a0He was heaven selected to teach and demonstrate true Christ-filled joy, launching the experience the Lord was leading us into.\u00a0\u00a0I will never forget his powerful portrayal of a God who, though he inhabits eternity, is not essentially the \u201cI Was,\u201d or the \u201cI Will,\u201d but the \u201cI Am.\u201d\u00a0\u00a0And the Christian brotherhood inclusiveness of his reference to John Carter\u2019s sermon entitled \u201cWhy I will not see Mother Theresa in heaven.\u201d \u2013 because she will be so close to the throne and I will be so far back I will not be able to see her.\u00a0\u00a0Powerful.<\/p>\n The entire evening program was so representative of what Christianity and specifically Seventh-day Adventist Christianity truly is. Like a mighty engine perfectly timed and tuned it proceeded from Jim\u2019s introduction, through Max and the Heritage Singers, even including our favorite sons, Terry and Perry, to your moving testimony, to the joyful commitment conclusion.<\/p>\n The evening was not a performance it was an experience.\u00a0\u00a0How often, standing before a congregation, have I longed to individually wrap each congregant personally in the safety and joy of the Savior\u2019s healing love.\u00a0\u00a0The Rejoice program achieved that last night.<\/p>\n Dear Max and the Heritage Singers have never been more real in their testimony of praise.\u00a0\u00a0No arrogance or condescension, just pure fellow travelers by word and song rejoicing in the presence and power of our Savior.\u00a0\u00a0Their long ministry is such a witness to the enduring joy of following Jesus.\u00a0\u00a0The diversity in age and experience among the singers and instrumentalists only enriched their witness.<\/p>\n The keyboard artist.\u00a0\u00a0That poor little man has a chronic, terminal case of rejoicing.\u00a0\u00a0Watching his heart beat with joy overflowing into singing and whole body participation in praise, was a true inspiration.\u00a0\u00a0For the first time I understood, and felt like I was participating in, David\u2019s joy and dancing before the Lord at the return of the Arc of the Covenant to Jerusalem.<\/p>\n The Lord took over your testimony.\u00a0\u00a0With not a word too many or too few, His voice came through.\u00a0\u00a0Your application of the passages in Philippians was exactly on target and was so very meaningful and encouraging to each of us who struggle with our own problems.\u00a0\u00a0You held out a new vista of joy and confidence and trust to each of us – and we accepted it.<\/p>\n The lifetime achievement award for the Christian will come only when the Lord Himself declares, \u201cWell done thou good and faithful servant.\u201d\u00a0\u00a0But for Jim Gilley, Max and the Heritage Singers and their instrumentalists, for my friend Jere Webb, and for the congregation Shantel and I were a part of, it was a lifetime experience.\u00a0\u00a0Thank you to you and to all who helped sponsor \u201cRejoice.\u201d<\/p>\n In Christian love,<\/p>\n Tom Robinson<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n [\/et_pb_text][\/et_pb_column][et_pb_column type=”1_4″][et_pb_image admin_label=”Jere” src=”http:\/\/rejoice2018.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/07\/JereWebb_38-Edit-5-e1532737730736.jpg” show_bottom_space=”off” align=”center” _builder_version=”3.11″ box_shadow_style=”preset2″]<\/p>\n <\/p>\n [\/et_pb_image][et_pb_text _builder_version=”3.15″ text_text_color=”#edf000″ text_line_height=”1.2em” header_font=”|700|||||||” text_orientation=”center”]<\/p>\n Jere Webb, Guest Speaker
